Environmental Protection
Proposed environmental principles for responsible product, transport and counterparty review, without unverified performance or certification claims.
These proposed policies require company adoption and review by qualified advisers in the relevant jurisdictions before publication. Translations require native trade review. They do not certify legal compliance or audited controls. Applicable legal duties are not suspended by this draft status.
Our position
AP Global Resources trades physical oil, petroleum products and gas. Trading involves products, transport and counterparties that carry environmental risk. The company proposes proportionate due diligence rather than claiming to control every operation in the chain.
Proposed due diligence
- Verify who is responsible for operations, and contractual responsibility for them
- Check legal origin and documentation where relevant
- Consider permits and responsibilities for pollution, spills, waste and emissions
- Escalate credible environmental incidents for review
Legal framework
Environmental laws apply according to their scope. MARPOL Annex I (oil pollution) and Annex VI (ship air emissions) apply to relevant ships and operators through applicable national implementation; they do not automatically bind every trader. The US Clean Water Act regulates relevant US discharges and permits and does not extend to all worldwide operations. Applicable local law governs in each jurisdiction.
Responsible communication
The company does not claim zero impact, ISO certification, carbon offsets or quantified environmental performance. Any such claim would be made only if it can be substantiated.
Reporting and contact
General questions may be sent to info@apglobalresources.com, which is not a dedicated environmental reporting service or emergency channel. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
